Hometown Tourist Sydney - Launching this summer!
I live like a tourist so you can live like a local.
Hi! I'm Erin, your host.
If you can find someone who loves Sydney more than me I'll buy 'em a beer!
Chances are you're travelling a long way to get here, and it can be a bit overwhelming sifting through all of info available to visitors on what to see. Or you may find the tours available aren't exactly what you're looking for - too long, too expensive, too big, or just not quite right for you.
As a longtime resident with an insatiable appetite for exploring all things Sydney, I want to help you make the most of your time in Sydney, avoid tourist traps, and find the hidden gems. And the best part? I will personalise this experience to your needs - your budget, your time, your interests. I am passionate about diversity and inclusion, as well as helping visitors understand the history of the traditional owners of this land, the Eora Peoples, and their ongoing connection to this land we call Sydney.

I’ve always been an avid explorer of Sydney and love talking about new discoveries with friends and family. However, it was chance meeting with two wonderful people (Jim and Angel) on a tiny island in Queensland that made me realise I could share my experiences with even more people. I shared a (very long) list of my favourite things for them to do in Sydney. Upon leaving they sent me this reply (shared with permission):
"Leaving Sydney this morning. Had an amazing time in Australia and it was great to meet you. Thanks for all your insights on Sydney. We visited most of the places on your list. Reach out if you are ever in our neck of the woods.
We both think you will be an amazing Sydney greeter given your love and knowledge of the city"

All the images you see on this website are my photos, taken in and around Sydney since smartphones made capturing beautiful images accessible to everyone. These are just a few of literally thousands. I love photographing all areas of Sydney - from Minto to Manly.
None of these pics were taken for marketing purposes - these are pics I have collected over my years of exploring Sydney as a hometown tourist. I've deliberately avoided using images of the famous landmarks such as the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach. These are all iconic places no doubt, but it's the lesser known parts of Sydney I want to share with you.
